The Energy Brix Australia Corporation (EBAC) business co-generates base-load electricity from its brown coal power station at Morwell in the Latrobe Valley, and produces steam for the integrated brown coal briquette manufacturing facility.

EBAC is a participant in the National Electricity Market (NEM). The power station has a maximum capacity of 195 megawatts. Since the introduction of the carbon tax in July 2012, the plant has operated primarily to supply steam to the briquette facility with electricity generated as a by- product.
