HRL Developments
This business division develops projects in three main areas:
• a 40 percent holding in the Hunter Enviro-Mining joint-venture to recover black coal from mine remnants and tailings in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales and to rehabilitate associated sites
• IDGCC: applying world-leading low-cost greenhouse emission reduction technology to transform electricity generation using brown coal
• designing, developing and build-own-operating innovative energy solutions for clients.
HRL Technology
This business division provides industry-leading engineering, consulting and testing services to the power, coal and manufacturing industries.
HRL Operations
This business division operates in three areas:
• Energy Brix Australia (EBAC) generates electricity from brown coal through its 170-megawatt rated power station at Morwell in the Latrobe Valley
• Industrial Energy markets briquettes manufactured in a co-generation plant associated with the Energy Brix power station at Morwell
The business divisions are supported by HRL Corporate Services that provides services in the areas of finance, administration, human resources, health & safety, information technology, environment and quality.
The HRL group employs over 200 people, mainly in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
